Through his many years in military service, Major General (Ret.) Kenneth Clark has served as a leader in this state and country. His career is marked by many successes and great accomplishments. Most importantly, Ken has been a servant leader his entire life. It is this commitment to serving others that drew him to the work of City Year NH. Whether it is domestic service or military service, there was an aligned belief that serving others is a fundamental aspect of being an active citizen. It was this belief that allowed him to powerfully advocate for our work in our state over many years as a champion of national service. It was also his fierce commitment to what Ken knew we could accomplish, that fueled his effort as board chair to lead our organizational move from Stratham to Manchester in 2010.
Ken Clark joined the New Hampshire Air National Guard in 1969 after graduating from UNH. In 2004 he became the first Air Force Officer to serve as Adjutant General. He retired in 2009, however he continues to serve his community as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Piscataqua Savings Bank, member of the Veterans Count Board of Advisors at Easter Seals, and member of the Boards of Advisors at Granite State College and City Year NH.
